Ludhiana, June 10 Ahead of the monsoon season, Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain announced that 24x7 Flood Control Rooms will remain operational across all sub-divisions of Ludhiana district from June 15 to September 30. The control rooms will ensure quick reporting and response to flood-related emergencies, embankment breaches, and other weather-related situations. The DC reviewed flood-prevention measures in vulnerable areas and directed officials to expedite the strengthening of embankments and protective infrastructure. He stated that all concerned departments have prepared contingency plans and are fully equipped to tackle any flood emergency during the rainy season. Residents have been urged to report flood-related incidents immediately and cooperate with authorities to ensure public safety.
