After completing the necessary annual maintenance works, Municipal Corporation (MC) has re-opened its swimming pool near Rakh Bagh for the season.

The Olympic size swimming pool (50m x 25m) is the biggest swimming pool in the city and residents can enrol themselves by paying a fixed amount of seasonal fee.

The residents can enrol themselves by filling in the application form alongwith other required documents. The form can be availed from the pool site and the seasonal fee has to be submitted at MC Zone D office in Sarabha Nagar. During this season, the pool will remain open for the public till October 31, 2024. 

Separate timings are fixed for men, women and couples starting from 6:30am. Residents can pay seasonal fee or avail lifetime membership by paying the fixed amount of fee.

Two swimming coaches and life guards have also deputed by the civic body for the safety of residents. The depth of the pool ranges from 6 feet to around 20 feet at different points. 

Filters are installed in the pool to keep the water clean and safe residents.

MC Commissioner Sandeep Rishi stated that it is among the biggest swimming pools and they welcome the residents to avail the facility for better health. It will also provide a relief from scorching heat.
