Focus On Timely Delivery Of Rural Development Schemes, Says Adc Chandarjyoti Singh

Rupnagar,: June 2026 Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Chandarjyoti Singh conducted a comprehensive review of the various rural development works currently underway across the district. During the review meeting, the ADC assessed the progress of multiple government schemes and development projects being implemented in villages, with a focus on ensuring their timely and effective execution. Addressing the concerned officials, Chandarjyoti Singh emphasized the importance of accelerating the pace of work on all ongoing projects being carried out under different rural development programs. She directed the departments to closely monitor the implementation process, remove any bottlenecks causing delays, and ensure that all pending works are completed within the stipulated timelines. The ADC further instructed officials to maintain regular supervision of development activities and coordinate effectively with field staff to achieve the desired targets. Stressing accountability and efficiency, he said that timely completion of projects is essential to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach rural residents without delay. She also asked all departments to prepare detailed progress reports and present updated status reports during the next review meeting. The objective, he said, is to continuously evaluate the progress of development initiatives, identify shortcomings, and take corrective measures wherever required to ensure the overall development of rural areas in the district. The meeting focused on strengthening rural infrastructure, improving public amenities, and ensuring the successful implementation of welfare and development schemes aimed at enhancing the quality of life for people living in villages.
