Bathinda, June 9: Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman met four Maharaja Ranjit Singh Award-winning athletes from Bathinda and congratulated them for bringing laurels to the district and Punjab. The awardees included archer Avneet Kaur, judoka Harshdeep Singh, water sports athlete Avtar Singh, and kabaddi player Manpreet Kaur. The Deputy Commissioner said the Punjab Government is committed to promoting sports and creating new opportunities for young athletes through initiatives such as Maharaja Ranjit Singh Awards and Khedan Watan Punjab Dian. He encouraged players to remain focused on their goals and continue working hard to achieve greater success at national and international levels. The athletes thanked the Punjab Government for recognizing and supporting sporting talent across the state.
